The lobby has a bank of computers to allow guests to check in and avoid the usual line of people waiting to get room keys. There's also a small reception for those who prefer to check-in the old-fashioned way. The lobby is bright and clean but has the typical chain hotel feel with lots of advertising on the walls, but the information board is a useful touch and maps and brochures are on hand. The hotel is quiet and has a sense of calm, which is surprising given its busy location. The Premier Inn is conveniently located on London's South Bank, just behind the London Eye, and Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament are across the River Thames from the hotel. The London Sea Life Aquarium, London Dungeon and Namco Station Arcade are located in the same building as the hotel. Downing Street, Westminster Abbey and St. James's Park are a 10-minute walk away. 20 minutes away are Buckingham Palace, the National Gallery, Piccadilly Circus,plaza leicesterand Hyde Park. The rooms are ordinary and the simple decor is not something to get excited about, but for a central London hotel the size of the rooms is exceptional. Many of those on the river side also have spectacular views of the London Eye, the River Thames and Jubilee Gardens. Rooms have small flat-screen TVs, safes, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, but they lack extras like minibars. This is one of the Premier Inn properties to feature the chain's "Hypnos" beds, which receive rave reviews from guests for their comfort. Large bathrooms have shower/tub combos with excellent water pressure.
